Innovation and Expansion of Skills

Before starting this project, I had never used dark mode before when creating a design. It was fun to do research to find out what shades of dark colors should be incorporated on a dark mode website. Being able to switch back and forth between the light mode and dark mode designs, it is much easier on my eyes to view the sight in dark mode.

Browser & Web Standards

The browser I used while completing this assessment was Chrome. Chrome offers great developer tools and is easy to make sure your design is displaying properly. I used W3 Validator to make sure there were no errors in my code. I included basic web standards by implementing a navigation bar, header, sections, asides, footer and hierarchy.

Reflection

Being able to choose your own topic for this learning plan was fun and really made me look into topics of web design that I have not yet tried. Dark mode was interesting to try since it is becoming a commonly used design trend. Learning what colors to use and what levels o saturation work best with the background colors and what is easiest on the eyes.
